Demi Lovato dished to Popstar! about the mean girls who bullied her: 'The girls that bullied me in school, I would always say, 'Say it to my face.' Tell me what I did & say it to my face. Don't threaten me on the computer, say it to my face.'

They never did. No one ever hit me or no one ever did this because they were scared of me. I was calling them out. Specifically one girl would give me dirty looks and call me names and I was like, 'If you just hit me I'd respect you a little, but you're just saying it behind your computer screen so that makes you more of a loser.'

Demi Lovato: Gift Of A Friend Music Video

Demi Lovato holds up a magic paper that famed fairy Tinker Bell appears on in her new music video, “Gift Of A Friend.”

The 16-year-old actress filmed the video in Los Angeles earlier in the year, where she described the video as “very girly/ fairy-esque.” We’d have to agree on that.

Demi recently tweeted BFF Selena Gomez to congratulate her on her new single, “Falling Down.” Demi shared, ” I LOVE your new single :D It’s on repeat!!!! SO PROUD OF YOU!!!”

Heads Up Tina Fey Demi Lovato Would Like To Co-Star On "30 Rock"

An artist as ambitious and determined as Demi Lovato is not going to sit back and just relax after her album, Here We Go Again debuted at #1 the week of release. Instead she is going to continue to make moves.

Is Demi's next move going to be a role on 30 Rock with Tina Fey?

A few weeks ago Demi revealed to Buzznet that she has a huge desire to collaborate with pop superstar Kelly Clarkson, whom Demi has adored since age 10.

Demi knew that her fans deserved to know more about her, so in 1 of the 12 Buzznet member questions she has answered for us today, she has now expressed interest in co-starring on 30 Rock.

Nicolegilmore7: In the future, what do you see yourself doing, is there a type of movie or genre that you would prefer to do?

Demi Lovato: I would love to do a horror film. I've wanted to do that or play a really psycho character.

Sportssweetie312: What show would you love to be a guest star on or who would you love to work with?

Demi Lovato: 30 Rock, Tina Fey

Hellydemifan: What's the best advice you would receive or take out?

Demi Lovato: Practice and never give up.

Kittyeater3: Why did you choose to be a singer/actor/songwriter?

Demi Lovato: I think it chose me. At about 5 yrs old I knew that's what I wanted to do.

Woahohshauna: What goes through your head when you're writing a song; What's the thought process like and how do the ideas come to you?

Demi Lovato: I usually write about life experiences, some are my own and some are others around me. I'm thinking about it and I go into my room and write it out.

Jess3292: Some advice to people who want to follow your path; what are three things you shouldn't do in the business?

Demi Lovato: Make it a career not your life. Don't get caught up in the hype. Don't let the gossip columns get to you.

Billiejoenelson: You have said in an interview with MTV that you are a metal head. Would you ever consider a collaboration with heavier rock groups or even doing heavier rock yourself?

Demi Lovato: I love all kinds of music so I'm always up for collaborating with people. I think it's important to your growth as an artist and explore the possibilities.

Kaylainsane: What do you like best about performing and what gets her pumped before a show?

Demi Lovato: The best part of performing is looking out at all of the people dancing and singing all of the lyrics with me. There's no greater feeling then that. What pumps me up before the show, cranking up the music from my computer playing whatever songs I'm feeling at the moment.

Ohgeezitsalexis: What are some other aspirations you have in life other than your singing/acting career?

Demi Lovato: Directing.

Gabbiebrown: How do you come up with your music video ideas?

Demi Lovato: I just think of the story line and what the song means to me.

Baileyaleece: What is it like to be able to share your music and art with people, and inspire them in the process?

Demi Lovato: It's amazing, there's really no way to describe the feeling of putting your music out there and having people relate to it.

Ebailey3: What keeps you so grounded in this business?

Demi Lovato: My family and my relationship with God keeps me grounded.

"Demi Lovato Takes Over the White House"

No, there hasn't been a Disney-led coup on our federal government (yet).

But Sonny With a Chance star Demi Lovato (who turns 17 today—yay!) did get to take a special tour of the White House on Wednesday, and here are some phone pics from the visit, from Dirk Mai's Buzznet photo page.

It seems that First Daughters Sasha and Malia Obama are huge Lovato fans and invited Demi to come by and take a special tour of their pad. (Sadly, there was no meet-up between Demi and the Obama gals).

"Just chillen' [sic] in the white house.... Nbd," Demi tweeted while checking out the First Family's digs.

Oh, that Demi. Such a kidder. Couldn't she have helped straightened out the whole health-care-reform mess while she was there instead of goofing around?

From Sam B:

"On Tuesday morning I saw Demi rehearsing a Camp Rock 2 dance through a curtain in the ballroom, until a worker closed the curtain.

Demi was late to the soundcheck because she had to go to the doctor, but
her band hung out with us and took requests. It was really fun. She answered questions from pretty much everyone. I asked about Camp Rock 2 and if she hurt her ankle rehearsing, but she said that she hurt it while walking out of her tour bus last week hahaha.

She answered questions about a Nick Jonas post on her equipment and McDonald's. At the concert she brought Madison up on stage to sing This Is Me with her, and Madison & her mom both watched from the side the whole time with Bella, Demi's dog. Madison was happy & dancing and it was so cute."

“Demi Lovato Informs Her Buzznet Fans That Hayley Williams Is An Inspiration”

Did you know that Hayley Williams is one of the artists that has inspired Demi Lovato to never give up? Do you know what Demi considers the biggest accomplishment in her career so far?

A few weeks ago Demi caught up with Buzznet and her tour bloggers on Buzznet and informed us that she has a desire to collaborate with Kelly Clarkson, since she has been a fan of hers since age 10.

Now back for round 2, Demi has answered 7 more fan questions, see what she has to say.

Bunday: What motivated/inspired you to not give up on your dreams?

Demi Lovato: My music and my passion for songwriting and playing piano and guitar was my greatest motivation. I was inspired by people who followed their dreams and made it. People like Kelly Clarkson, Christine Aguilera and Hayley Williams.

Lisaxcore: If you never got the part on Barney, how do you think your life would be like right now?

Demi Lovato: I think if it hadn’t been for Barney I would still be acting and singing but just may never have met Selena.

Alexismarie123: What has been the hardest obstacle` you had to face during your rise to fame?

Demi Lovato: I have had to learn that no matter who you are there will always those who criticize you. But in the end you just have to be true to yourself and focus on the ones who love you. I

Ilsepla: What or who inspires you the most to reach every goal you have set for yourself and why?

Demi Lovato: I draw from the fans for inspiration. There are so many young people who inspire me, like Sarah who suffers from Eosinophilic disease. I met her at one of my meet & greets last year and now I try to work with APFED every chance I get. Then there’s Austen who I met thru Make-A-Wish Foundation who came up on stage with me. There’s so many more to name but I am out on tour meeting them every day, they are my inspiration because if they can dream big so can I.

Gibsythegypsy: How do you plan to help girls who have been bullied?

Demi Lovato: I’d really like to put all my thoughts and advice into a book to share with my fans.

Mykspace60902: What is music to you? What I mean is, is it that burning passion you feel pervading your entire body as you eloquently release those oh-so exquisite notes and stand before millions of people while the ground is vibrating beneath your feet and your heart is pumping. Or, is it more intimate like when you’re alone ensconced by self-produced melodies with the scent of lyrics thick in the air?

Demi Lovato: That’s an awesome question, you sound like a writer. It would have to be both, on stage and in my room where it’s quite and I’m alone and lyrics come so easily to me. Then on stage is where I get the excitement of sharing those lyrics with fans.

Larissaxoxo: What is she most proud of accomplishing in her career?

Demi Lovato: My new album “Here We Go Again” .

Be sure to read Demi’s last interview with Buzznet members as she discusses Kelly Clarkson as an inspiration.

Could this be Disney Channel’s answer to “We Are the World”?

We’ll learn more tomorrow when the environmental anthem “Send It On” debuts on Radio Disney. Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are singing.

The song will be available on iTunes on Tuesday for 99 cents — and the money goes to environmental charities.

The “Send It On” video debuts Friday, Aug. 14, on Disney Channel — where else? — and Saturday, Aug. 15, on Disney.com and ABC.

“Send It On” is one offshoot of Disney’s Friends for Change: Project Green campaign. More than 350,000 kids have registered to be part of the campaign at Disney.com/projectgreen.

A special will give an inside look at the campaign. It’s a big title: “Lights, Camera, Take Action! Backstage With Disney’s Friends for Change.” It will debut after “Wizards of Waverly Place the Movie” on Friday, Aug. 28.

Singer and actress Demi Lovato talks about her number one album 'Here we Go Again.' July 30, 2009!

Wednesday, July 29, 2009 12:42 PM

LOS ANGELES — Demi Lovato is in the middle of concert tour, has just released a new album, and is still the star of her own Disney TV series, "Sonny With a Chance." But she makes sure she has time to check out any cute boys on her radar.

"I'm a 16-year-old girl — of course I make time to date!" she says with a laugh during a recent interview.

Lovato sounds like the typical teen girl, but don't expect frilly, boy-crazy songs to dominate her new album, "Here We Go Again." While it has songs about romance and heartbreak, it also touches on what she calls serious, more substantial issues.

Lovato talked about her maturing sound, working with idol John Mayer and why she's not looking for a serious relationship during her teen years.

AP: Do you fear having a teen pop stigma?

Lovato: I'm OK with it, you know? Disney Channel has given me so much, I'm so excited to be with Disney Channel and to be working with them. And this is just like me performing my stuff and like showing everybody who I am as opposed to like my character in "Camp Rock" or things like that. It's really just about me wanting to show everyone who I am and them getting to know me."

AP: Is there a theme to your new album?

Lovato: We didn't put a theme together because I wanted to make sure that the album and the songs that were included were just more mature, more of me (laughs).

AP: You seem to be drawn to music that is more serious — do you keep it young?

Lovato: I really don't want the songs to be just low, serious, like, dark songs. I think that there is a way to incorporate both of that so that you can appeal to older people and younger and most importantly people your age. That's who I want to relate to the most, just people my age and people who are going through the same thing that I am.

AP: Have you ever written a song that you later thought was too personal to release?

Lovato: There have been times when it has been way too personal, but I never would release any thing like that. Just keep it on my computer, like keep it in a journal. All of my songs are from personal experiences, but I think you can get a lot out of them. ... It really is what inspires me at the moment.

AP: John Mayer co-wrote "World of Changes" with you. Was it intimidating working with him?

Lovato: It was kind of intimidating actually, because it was hard for me to get the lyrics out — "What if he thinks this sucks?" ... So I was terrified, but at the same time I was sitting there, I was like, "This is really cool," and then every time he did compliment me I would get super excited.

AP: You have said as a kid you didn't fit in.

Lovato: In middle school I was in the popular clique and looking back on it, it wasn't worth it. I would have rather been happy and not known to anybody, rather than being stuck in a clique of people that it's all drama and gossip and rumors, things like that. It's not fun.

AP: You decided to be home-schooled. Why?

Lovato: I left school because it got to a point where the rumors and the gossip and the bullying — it was more verbal harassment than physical abuse but that's actually more scarring than anything. And I had to leave because I just couldn't deal with it. And I've home-schooled ever since.

AP: Did you channel your anger into songwriting?

Lovato: I kind of went through a year when I didn't know what to do and the only thing I turned to was my best friend Selena (Gomez), who was home-schooled with me for that time. But also my music. I had so much bottled up that I didn't know what to do with it, so I just wrote songs about them.

AP: How do you meet boys?

Lovato: I love boys, (laughs) but, you know, at the same time, it's like, I'm not going to go out there and date every single guy that I want. I might, you know, get their number and talk to them a little bit, but there is nothing wrong with that, I'm 16. I don't really like relationships. I'd rather have a lot of really cute guy friends. That's why, another reason why you never really see me "with somebody" like for a long time. Cause it's like I'd rather have a lot of really cute guy friends that you can have the attention from by flirting with them, but you don't have to kiss them and you don't have to be tied down to anybody.

Whenever you see a rock concert in a movie, the entire place is going absolutely nuts the entire time. The screaming never stops, everyone’s jumping up and down, and all the performers on stage are running all over the place, putting on the most energetic show imaginable.

That’s more or less what happened Friday night at the Demi Lovato concert.

Yes, frequent commenter Sean T and I — two single, 30-year-old men — attended the Allstate Arena show, unaccompanied, because we think the young Miss Lovato is the real deal. Scooped up by the Disney machine and given a starring role in the cable movie “Camp Rock,” Lovato is the Mouse House’s next big thing. As she demonstrated Friday, she can play the piano and the guitar, and can actually sing. She had a hand in writing most of the songs on her two albums, and has lots of enthusiasm on stage.

That last part is really important. How often do we shell out exorbitant ticket prices to see bands that don’t even look like they’re having a good time? Demi Lovato is clearly having the time of her life — she’s only 16 and is touring the country, playing to throngs of screaming fans.

And boy, did they scream. My ears have been assaulted at numerous concerts over the years, but it’s usually deep bass or piercing guitars doing the damage. Thousands of screaming teenage girls do damage on a totally different frequency, damage that wasn’t apparent right after the concert ended. Hours later, everything sounded like it was underwater; thankfully, I found no blood on my pillow the next morning.

Disney spared no expense on the tour, which also features “Idol” finalist David Archuleta and teen pop singer Jordan Pruitt. Lovato and her seven-piece band roamed a two-story stage adorned with three giant video displays, and two more screens were placed in the rafters. The sound, which is notoriously echoey (that’s a real word, I just looked it up) in the Allstate Arena, was astonishing. Every word she spoke or sang was clear as a bell. I’d like to give the arena the benefit of the doubt and say they’ve stepped up their acoustics, but my money’s on Disney’s production value.

For sure, many in the audience were seeing their very first concert, and Demi made sure they all got the full rock-show experience. She turned the chorus of “U Got Nothin’ On Me” into a left-side/right-side singalong before delivering the full song in its anthemic glory. She also raised parents’ eyebrows with her choice for a cover song: Aretha Franklin’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” She admitted she wouldn’t do it justice (although she sang it just fine), but perhaps the implications of the song’s lyrics are a bit much for a teen and pre-teen crowd. That being said, I think most parents would be less concerned about Lovato’s song choice than they would be with, say, some of Miley Cyrus’s on-stage outfits.

Lovato saved the best for last: A two-song encore featuring her first album’s two big hits. “Don’t Forget” begins as a spare, tearful melody, but a guitar crash turns it into a battle cry. “Get Back,” the single that announced her to the world last summer, sounds a little too much like Hannah Montana in a brunette wig, but Lovato made it work as a rousing finale.

One young attendee got the memory of a lifetime (assuming she wasn’t a plant). Lovato pulled a girl who couldn’t have been more than 5 years old on stage to help sing “This Is Me,” her “Camp Rock” duet with Joe Jonas.

That was probably the part of the show where I felt most out of place. But though I’m nowhere near Demi Lovato’s target demographic, I cannot deny my affection for bigger-than-life pop music with catchy hooks. I have no illusions about how Lovato’s career began — she is a commercially engineered success story, a fact hammered home by the Disney Channel commercials that played in between sets Friday — but I am very excited about where her career may go.

The battle of the sexes starts young.

The first scars show in the chords and cries of teen pop, where the planet’s cutest youths square off against each other to present very different views of love…

Demi Lovato — star of the Disney show “Sonny With a Chance” — refuses to solely act the usual vengeful rocker on her second CD, “Here We Go Again.”

Instead, she brings in more ballads, some moderately sophisticated (!).

A song she co-wrote with quasi-legit singer Jon McLaughlin apes the jazzy-balladry of Jason Mraz, while “Catch Me” rates as her “Eleanor Rigby,” fired by stiff, mournful strings.

While Lovato’s debut found her co-writing with the Jonas Brothers, on the new one she roped in John Mayer for a cut. By teen pop standards, that’s a serious upgrade.

Lovato earns it with vocals that have more nuance than most of her ilk. While she still keeps things safe with lots of formula faux rockers, we should give the 16-year-old credit for putting out a CD that, by this world’s standards, reads as a leap.

You can't say the same for Ashley Tisdale.

Her sophomore CD, "Guilty Pleasure," advances not a whiff from her shrill and whiny debut.

Then again, her star rose by playing an obnoxious girl in the "High School Musical" franchise. That may help explain why there's barely a single sign of growth this time, save the cheeky "Guilty Pleasure" title.

If only that name served as a defensive description of what lies within. For that to be true, the music would have had to deliver on the "pleasure" part.

The several thousand shrieking girls in the audience might not have noticed, but things weren’t going smoothly for Demi Lovato during her concert at the Prudential Center here last month. For the first few minutes, as she sang and pranced across the stage, not a sound came from her microphone. Later she flubbed lyrics on a few songs. On Lovato’s face, barely masked by the grin of the longtime pro, were persistent flashes of concern, discomfort and fear.

It was the night before her latest film, “Princess Protection Program,” was to make its debut on the Disney Channel, where Lovato, 16, is an ascendant star, the heiress apparent to the tween-pop crown.

But where in the not-too-distant past that would have meant she was an automaton of joy and relatability, Lovato is already proving to be far more intriguing, and far less predictable.

About midway through the show came “Catch Me,” one of the best songs on her new album, “Here We Go Again” (Hollywood), and the only one for which she receives sole writing credit. Like those that preceded it, it threatened to become something of a shambles.

But as Lovato eased into the lyric, intimate and measured, a calm spread over her. Her shoulders eased. Rather than overwhelm the crowd with razzle-dazzle, she turned inward, and for a few moments looked as if she might prefer to be playing in a coffeehouse somewhere, where the lights weren’t nearly as bright.

“Catch Me” was “written by myself in my room,” Lovato had said earlier that day, taking a breather at the Trump International Hotel in Manhattan. “Those songs mean more to me than when we’ve got two weeks to finish an album and I’m with three different writers.”

Time has certainly become compressed for Lovato, a singer, songwriter and actress who just over a year ago was a relatively new face in the Disney ecosystem, opening for the Jonas Brothers on tour, performing her own shows for a few hundred fans and playing the romantic interest of Joe Jonas in the TV movie “Camp Rock.”

Now she’s the headliner, her warp-speed climb to the top of kid pop — by way of albums, TV films and her sitcom, “Sonny With a Chance” — a testament not only to her indefatigable energy and legitimate talent, but also to the vitality and efficiency of the Disney star-making machine, which cultivates young talent across media platforms.

But while she has joined the ranks of Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers and to a lesser degree some of the stars of the “High School Musical” franchise — who have followed a similar path to fame — Lovato appears to have a different plan. Along with, perhaps, Nick Jonas, the brooding auteur who gives the Jonas Brothers megabrand a dash of thoughtfulness, Lovato has a kind of alt-Disney aesthetic, simultaneously building the brand and proving its elasticity.

In the last three years Disney, through a series of successful pop acts and synergistic television shows, has firmly established itself as family-friendly, inclusive and accessible. While Lovato, with her prom-queen looks and eager friendliness, is certainly all of those things, she also stands out artistically, with tastes and attitudes that appear unscripted.

Her debut album, “Don’t Forget,” with its flashes of hard rock and pop-punk, was surprisingly sprightly and tough, easily the most dynamic from a Disney act. A fan of heavy metal who covers Aretha Franklin in concert and has written, by her count, several hundred songs, Lovato is the most exciting of the company’s musical stars.

Her otherness is underscored by the roles she plays (and is cast in) on the Disney Channel. While on their shows Cyrus (”Hannah Montana”) and the Jonas Brothers (”Jonas”) play versions of themselves — young famous people trying to figure out how to be young and famous and normal — on “Sonny With a Chance” Lovato plays her own doppelganger: someone figuring out how to fit in.

Demetria Devonne Lovato got her start outside the company. At the age of 6 she landed a role on “Barney & Friends,” and for several years she worked the pageant circuit. There’s a hilarious clip on YouTube of a 13-year-old Lovato receiving an unfortunate pageant hairdo on the Style Network reality show “Split Ends.”

Lovato, who is of Mexican, Italian and Irish heritage, grew up around entertainment. Her mother was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader and sometime country singer. Her older sister, Dallas, is a singer, and her half-sister, 7-year-old Madison De La Garza, has a recurring role on “Desperate Housewives.”

Lovato was discovered by Disney during an open casting call in Dallas, her hometown, and made her Disney Channel debut in 2007 in “As the Bell Rings,” a series of comedy shorts. At a subsequent audition for a role on “Jonas,” the Jonas Brothers’ Disney Channel sitcom (which she didn’t get), she sang for the executives and was soon cast in “Camp Rock” as the young singer, daughter of the camp caterer, who captures the ear and heart of a spoiled pop star played by Joe Jonas. Their duet “This Is Me” was the film’s most memorable song, and the one that established Lovato as a musician as well as an actor.

“It was very important to management that she had a touring presence and music persona,” said Abbey Konowitch, general manager of Hollywood Records. (Lovato is managed by her stepfather, Eddie De La Garza, along with Kevin Jonas Sr., the father of the Jonas Brothers, and Philip McIntyre.)

Soon Lovato was a Disney priority, performing with the Jonas Brothers, working on her debut album, “Don’t Forget,” and filming “Sonny With a Chance.” When Gary Marsh, president for entertainment at Disney Channels Worldwide, asked her if she was prepared for what was to come, “she looked at me straight in the eyes and said, ‘I was born ready,’” he remembered. “Some of them say it, but I don’t think they all mean it.” Lovato, he said, has “a frightening sense of her destiny. She built her whole life so this moment could happen.”

Released last year, “Don’t Forget” made its debut at No. 2 on the Billboard album chart. “It was like, OK, you’ve done it,” Lovato recalled. “You’re no longer just succeeding because you’re in a movie with the Jonas Brothers. These people bought your music for you.”

And in the world of Disney music, they were taking a leap. Lovato “has such a wide range,” said Michael G. Riley, general manager of Radio Disney. “She’s more on the rock edge of pop, and that adds to the landscape of Radio Disney.”

Even as her fame grows, ever present is the knowledge that in a couple of years, or maybe less, it will be time to prove herself all over again; tween-focused acts arrive with a built-in expiration date.

“Some days I’ll look at a crowd and I’ll think: Wow, this is so cool. This is just like what the Jonas Brothers were doing last year,” she said of her concert audiences, which in the last year have mushroomed from a few hundred to several thousand. “And then I’ll look at a crowd and be like: Oh, it’s not as much as them. Some days I get really excited, and some days I get scared because I feel like I have to live up to certain pressures.”

Down the line, she said, her career will look different — “I don’t see myself doing television, but I do see myself directing” — and she eagerly talked of the possibility of taking time off to study at the Berklee College of Music.

“If it takes me 10 years to be the musician I want to be, great,” she said. “I don’t want it to be pandemonium for something I’m not proud of in a few years. I want to be able to tell my kids, ‘This is the great work that I did,’ instead of it being, ‘I was great for six months, and now I’ve got this great work that nobody saw because my fame died out.’”

Demi Lovato - Promotion in Germany: I Am Featurette

Monday, July 27, 2009 11:57 AM

“The last two years have been insane,” said Demi Lovato during her show, which filled the lower bowl and main floor of Allstate Arena with screaming tweens on Friday. “This past year especially,” she added.

As a relative newcomer to the Disney circuit, it has been quite a year for 16-year-old Lovato. She starred in the Disney Channel movie “Camp Rock” alongside the Jonas Brothers, and she opened their tour. Now she is the star of the Disney TV series “Sonny With A Chance” and the Disney Channel movie “Princess Protection Program.” Last year, her first album, “Don’t Forget,” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Billboard is predicting her new album, “Here We Go Again,” will bow near the top of the chart this week. She recently appeared as a guest on “The View” and “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.” Judging from the fan reaction at Allstate, it’s safe to say she’s poised to be Disney’s next breakout star.

Performing live, she showed her music isn’t cut from the same Disney cloth as her peers — she’s a little more rocking and has a versatile voice. A few songs from her new album show promise that she could cross out of the tween world and reach a broader audience; unfortunately, she avoided most of those songs. Occasionally donning a guitar and taking turns behind a baby grand piano, Lovato concentrated on her early, mostly forgettable material, though fans enjoyed it. An “aww” moment came when she invited a young fan onstage to sing “This Is Me” from “Camp Rock.”

While the best of her new material (including “Catch Me,” the only song for which she received sole writing credit) was strangely absent from the performance, the sprinkling of new songs she tested were the most dynamic of the set. The anthemic, catchy “Here We Go Again” was best of show, and “Remember December” demonstrated her rock singing chops.

Lovato certainly has talent. It would be interesting to see her paired with the right songwriters and outside of the Disney umbrella. Right now, however, there’s still too much pap.

For example, did you know that even though she loves fashion she barely has time to go shopping anymore? “I don’t really have time to go shopping – at ALL,” she laughed, “If I do, it’s, like, fun for me.” Wow! Can you imagine NOT having time to shop?! She also had an AWESOME exclusive acoustic performance that was caught on video. Check it out ABOVE and let us know how you like it!

Next week Hollywood Records' Demi Lovato looks to be on track to start near the top of the Billboard 200 chart with her second album "Here We Go Again." Industry prognosticators think the set may shift 100,000-120,000 in its first week. The singer/actress' debut effort, "Don't Forget," bowed at No. 2 less than a year ago with 89,000.

Lovato may face competition from Daughtry's "Leave This Town," which has a chance of holding in at No. 1 for a second week. If the album drops a conservative 60-65% in sales in its second week, it may shift 95,000-110,000. It bowed atop the Billboard 200 with 269,000.

Jordin Sparks' sophomore album "Battlefield" will also likely make a top 10 debut, giving the "American Idol" champ her second top 10 set. Her self-titled debut entered and peaked at No. 10 in 2007.

On the Top Comprehensive Albums chart, where both older albums and new albums mingle together, there's a chance Michael Jackson's "Number Ones" may trump both Lovato and Daughtry, and move back to the No. 1 slot, despite a decline in sales. Last week "Ones" fell to No. 2 on the Comprehensive chart -- behind Daughtry -- with 192,000 (down 45%).

Nielsen SoundScan's sales tracking week, as reflected in Billboard's album charts, runs from Monday through Sunday of each week. Next week's album charts will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, July 29 and will reflect data through the week ending Sunday, July 26.

DEMI LOVATO & TRACE CYRUS BREAKUP!

It’s true — the Twitteromance is done.

Trace Cyrus confirmed to People magazine that he and Miss Demi Lovato are no longer seeing each other.

Trace, 20, tells the mag, “Demi is one of my good friends and I definitely became very, very close with her in the past few months, and it’s something I really wanted to make work…We gave it a shot and that’s all you can do.”

Both are currently on tour right now — Trace with his band Metro Station and Demi with American Idol alum David Archuleta.

Trace Cyrus, 20, talked to People about his breakup with Demi Lovato, 16:

'Demi is one of my good friends and I definitely became very, very close with her in the past few months, and it's something I really wanted to make work. But unfortunately, we both have very busy schedules, we're both on tour right now.

I'm always on the other side of the world and so is she, so it just seemed like something that can't work out at this time. We gave it a shot and that's all you can do. Every time I hung out with that girl or talked on the phone with her..

..it was amazing. She is someone that I can totally relate to. But she is a lot younger than me. When someone is that much younger, you're looking for different things in relationships. Maybe when she's older and we've both matured, we'll be looking for the same thing and it can work out.'

Demi Lovato takes a break after her soundcheck to chat with MySpace Music Feed in Anaheim, Calif., early last week.

The 16-year-old dished on her new album, her friendship with the JoBros and how much she appreciates her fans. Check it:

On the difference between her two albums: “On my first album there were a lot of break up songs and frustrated ones — wanting to get a lot of emotions out. I think, over the past year, I’ve learned more about myself and I learned more about song-writing and how to deal with certain situations.”

On her amazing fans: “I see them when I’m on stage and it’s awesome. To hear them singing my songs back to me…there were moments when I would watch the Jonas Brothers on stage on their When You Look Me in The Eyes Tour and I would just watch, wishing that I would be there. Now I’m seeing almost that many people, not that many people but coming really close. It makes me really proud to say that I’m the one up there.”

Demi’s sophomore album, Here We Go Again, drops TOMORROW — be sure to pick a copy up!
